Frozen chicken quality depends on consistent temperature control through storage, loading, refrigerated transport and final receiving.
Cold chain starts before the container
The product should already be in the agreed frozen condition before loading. Warehouse procedures, staging time and loading speed all affect temperature stability.
Reefer planning is part of the commercial order
Container capacity depends on carton dimensions, gross weight, pallet configuration and legal payload. Buyers should not assume that every 40-foot refrigerated container carries the same tonnage.
Receiving matters too
The buyer should have suitable cold storage ready before arrival. Delays during unloading or insufficient freezer capacity can create problems even when the export leg was handled correctly.
Write the temperature requirement into the specification
Storage and transport temperature should be part of the written product and logistics requirements. This makes responsibilities clearer for the supplier, freight provider and buyer.
